| "Tess" is a pretty little fairy, standing on a flower in a dogwood tree. Tess is also Frances' granddaughter, who was happy to be the model for this painting. Dressing up for the part was the most fun. And posing with the sun backlighting her nearly white blonde hair to get the halo effect that Frances wanted was very important. The artist was pleased to have such a willing and pretty fairy to work with. The result is a delicate and charming picture. |
